I am happy for following things in life:
1) I still have a job, or atleast pay.
2) I have an EAD, those in PERM, 140, do not have that option.
3) I am better placed than those seeking immigration as brothers and sisters of US citizens :-d or as married children of US citizens.
I am not happy about:
1) Don't have the plastic that says, I can stay on even if I don't have a job.
2) Those from other countries getting "lottery" visa instead of hard work.
Who said "hard work" pays off? It just takes LUCK in life for things to fall in place. From tomorrow, I am just going to buy lottery and do NO work.

Did you have unexpired H1B / I-94? In my case I am on EAD / pending I-485 / AOS (expired H1 / I-94) & BOA didn't approve.
Do you know any one who didn't have H1B / I-94 but got loan from BOA based on AOS?
yes, i had an unexpired h1b/i-94. yes, i do have friends who were not on h1b/i-94 and still got approved from boa. for some reason, i believe, its pretty much the agent who handles your case decides on these issues. i remem' for one or two things which are supposed to be important, my agent asked me not to worry about and i dont think i gave him a copy of my h1b visa either.

You are right, it will be tough to dig into an agency that does approve your status here.
Fortunately the US justice system works for everybody. Thats the hallmark of this great country.
Anybody can go to a court and seek justice if they feel they have been harmed or suffered losses even by a govt body.
Ample evidence is available in court records for cases against USCIS by GC applicants for delays and errors. This not an opinion but a fact.
In this country you just don't get screwed or get a cold shoulder for seeking justice within the written laws.

The available information shows only three days of extended stay and one week of car which they need to share with other executives. Fortunately the extended stay suites come with attached rest room. I think it is time to write to Senators and Congressmen about the DREAM Act. Please see the post below that the Act is being re-introduced. It is under the thread "Alert from AILA for Dream Act Support". We should make sure that it is appplied to all children, including documented. As it last stood in CIR, the DREAM Act applied to only undocumented children.
I am a legal skilled immigrant, came here in 1995, and am still in line for GC. My son aged-out 3 years ago, and daughter will age-out in a month. Both of them would be on path to GC and citizenship under the DREAM Act....only if they had come here as undocumented. The DREAM Act allows the benefit till age 30, whereas legal dependants age-out at 21. Why this discrimination against legal entrants?

They must have interpreted lot of phone calls and inquiries as "people might not have understood the revision" as they are not from "English Speaking" countries so change it and put "Flip" and "Flop" together as somebody mentioned ahead. But if people might not have understood "Flip" and "Flop" then how can they understand "Flip-Flop"?:)

Found some interesting explanation about New interpretations on section 245(k). This has 180 days tolerance even if you continue work without legal status when in confusion, like the one you asked for.

I don't know what happens to EAD when 485 is denied (some says it remains valid) but looks like you get 180 days to fight using an MTR.

Let's discuss more on how to bring out more into the open, the issues the H1 visa holders are facing from their small time employers in applying for permanent residence, backlog issues and how redtape is destroying these young men's goals, about lack of visa numbers.
Why there is even a provision in the last Senate bill, for illegals to SELF petition for GC, if employer doen't apply in 2 years. Let's discuss about a similar provision for H1 visa holders who are legally working here, paying taxes. Let's discuss even more important issue.
Why should we pay, SS Tax and Medicare if we are temporary workers. Let them START collecting once I-485 is applied.
This last point will resonate well with all It will be picked up easily; you will see the panic flying in the press, TVs, Senate and what not, when a simple mention of it is made.
These are the practical things we need to discuss. Not a theoritical PD definition, on which we have no locus standi.

I totally agree..he was all ga ga abt what USCIS is doing and how efficently they have already processed 65% of available visa numbers for the fiscal.
